We had so much fun during our stay on Sandpiper 1! Everything was so clean. We appreciated all the little extra things, like the beach wagon, beach chairs, kayaks, and lending book library.... and really appreciated the private outdoor shower with hot water, along with the hose to rinse off all our beach things. The beds and furniture were comfortable and there was plenty of space for us all to sit together and play games or watch a movie. We had a loss of internet due to a storm and took out the modem, but JT worked with us and provider to get us up and working again. Really, the only complaints we had are super minor... would have loved to have had bath mats in the bathrooms, a couple more towels, and more than 4 coffee cups. :) Overall it was a great stay and would definitely stay here again.

Jt is a helpful and friendly host who offered clear and accurate information of their home. The home is tucked away near the little canal which is perfect for kayaking, crabbing and fishing off the dock (2 nice kayaks and crabbing equipment available) . The home is comfortably placed within walking distance from the public beach access (beach chairs, umbrellas, beach cart and boogie boards and sandcastle toys were also available) . Best of both worlds. The kitchen has lots of cooking utensils, dish and cookware to meet a variety of cooking styles. Comfortable bedrooms, and living room furniture to relax and unwind out of a busy day visiting the beach or shopping. Outside deck was great for sunrise coffee moments over the canal and late evening rest upstairs and / or game night or hangout downstairs areas. Outdoor shower is both hot and cold water. We celebrated a major milestone birthday, babies first beach vacay and our wedding anniversary. Highly recommend this stay and fabulous host

We had a great stay at JT’s place! The house was spotless and had everything we needed for our stay. The house was walkable to beach access and a lot of great restaurants! We look forward to coming back to Gulf Shores very soon!

The Sandpiper was a great 9 day stay. We took our kayaks and forgot the paddles but thankfully J.T. has some for use which saved us. We wanted this house last year but it booked up so we planned early and we’re glad we did. Anything from the gas grill, pots for shrimp boil, to the griddle for pancakes, this was a perfect set up. 2 blocks from the beach or food and the outdoor shower was perfect for rinsing with warm water to get the sand off of you before kicking back on the front deck. Needless to say, my family is ready to go back next year.

Our stay was perfect!!! The house was very clean and it was walkable to the beach and restaurants. JT provides kayaks, and we enjoyed kayaking in the canal behind the house. This was definitely a home-away-from-home feel, and anytime I go back to Gulf Shores, I’m staying here! Highly recommended!!

My friends and I absolutely loved our stay!! It was walkable to the beach and many restaurants. JT was very responsive and even let us extend our check out time so we could enjoy the beach a little longer. We would definitely stay here again!

We loved our stay at Sandpiper 1. It was exactly how it was described and so close to everything! The beach chairs and wagon were a nice addition! Loved the kitchen and found everything we needed! Looking forward to returning again!

Sandpiper 1 was a PERFECT place to stay. Here are some of the many reasons we loved it: 1) The walk to the beach was more than doable with our little kids (all under 4). 2) There is a LOT to do. This beach house is close to everything- we were able to walk to many souvenir shops, restaurants, and ice-cream places. 3) The house was super clean & the patio was one of our favorite hang out spots (it was huge and had multiple chairs so everyone could sit). 4) The hot water in the outside shower was a game change for cleaning our little kids off before entering the house. 5) JT was very involved & interactive with us during our stay when we had questions.

We highly recommend this beach house for your next getaway. We cannot say enough good things about our stay here! We have stayed here a few times. It always feels like a home away from home. The home was sparkling clean and very comfortable. It is in a quiet area with a beautiful beach just a short walk away. After a day on the beach, relaxing on the deck and enjoying the calm breeze was a lovely way to spend the evenings. However, the surrounding area has many things to do if you are looking for active entertainment. Our host JT was genuine in his desire for his guest to feel comfortable in their home. This is on our list as a definite “come back again” location! The Bakers

Great location. Less than 10 minute walk to Beach and restaurants. We were there for Beach volleyball tournament. Very convenient for walking back and forth to the beach with beach cart in tow. Hope that we can schedule this house for next year!
