We stayed for 2x nights for the Alabama Coastal Triathlon in September. JT's place was perfect! Beautiful little beach house that was ideal for 6x adults. We walked to the beach and rode our bikes to the transition area at The Hangout. Check-in was easy, and value per person was awesome! We would stay here again if we get the chance to race next year!

The house was perfect for 4 adults and could have held total of 6. Furniture was comfortable and house is beautiful. Close enough to walk to almost everything you need from stores to eating and most importantly the beach. Will definitely be back for another stay in the future. Only a minor complaint was the porch light was on at the house next door with no tenants and it shines in the back bedroom window. But nothing a little shirt over the blinds couldn’t take care of. Overall it was an excellent 10/10 stay.

We had so much fun during our stay on Sandpiper 1! Everything was so clean. We appreciated all the little extra things, like the beach wagon, beach chairs, kayaks, and lending book library.... and really appreciated the private outdoor shower with hot water, along with the hose to rinse off all our beach things.
The beds and furniture were comfortable and there was plenty of space for us all to sit together and play games or watch a movie. We had a loss of internet due to a storm and took out the modem, but JT worked with us and provider to get us up and working again.
Really, the only complaints we had are super minor... would have loved to have had bath mats in the bathrooms, a couple more towels, and more than 4 coffee cups. :)
Overall it was a great stay and would definitely stay here again.

Jt is a helpful and friendly host who offered clear and accurate information of their home. The home is tucked away near the little canal which is perfect for kayaking, crabbing and fishing off the dock (2 nice kayaks and crabbing equipment available) . The home is comfortably placed within walking distance from the public beach access (beach chairs, umbrellas, beach cart and boogie boards and sandcastle toys were also available) . Best of both worlds. The kitchen has lots of cooking utensils, dish and cookware to meet a variety of cooking styles. Comfortable bedrooms, and living room furniture to relax and unwind out of a busy day visiting the beach or shopping. Outside deck was great for sunrise coffee moments over the canal and late evening rest upstairs and / or game night or hangout downstairs areas. Outdoor shower is both hot and cold water. We celebrated a major milestone birthday, babies first beach vacay and our wedding anniversary. Highly recommend this stay and fabulous host

This beach house was an absolute dream! Located just a short stroll from the sparkling Gulf Shores coastline, it offered the perfect blend of luxury and laid-back charm. Every detail in the home was clearly curated with care—from beach gear and canal essentials to cozy indoor touches that made us feel instantly at ease.
We especially loved starting our mornings kayaking through the peaceful canal—a serene experience that added a unique twist to our beach vacation.
JT was a phenomenal host, always quick to respond and genuinely thoughtful. It’s clear he takes pride in making sure guests have everything they need—and then some!
Already counting down the days until we can return to this slice of paradise. Highly recommend to anyone wanting relaxation with a splash of adventure.

We had a great stay at JT’s place! The house was spotless and had everything we needed for our stay. The house was walkable to beach access and a lot of great restaurants! We look forward to coming back to Gulf Shores very soon!

The Sandpiper was a great 9 day stay. We took our kayaks and forgot the paddles but thankfully J.T. has some for use which saved us.
We wanted this house last year but it booked up so we planned early and we’re glad we did.
Anything from the gas grill, pots for shrimp boil, to the griddle for pancakes, this was a perfect set up. 2 blocks from the beach or food and the outdoor shower was perfect for rinsing with warm water to get the sand off of you before kicking back on the front deck.
Needless to say, my family is ready to go back next year.
